At first, it was difficult to tell if this was an ameoba or not… fortunately, after it moved a little and extened a few filopodia, it was confirmed.
Remarkably, I was able to find two amoebae in the process of cytokinesis (for more on cytokinesis, visit this older post: https://themicroplanet.com/2019/03/27/stentor-cytokinesis/) Other amoebas had attached themselves to a subtrate, probably foraging for food.
These amoebae are likely from the genus Euglypha or related genera.
